The Tabor Rally Team Nissan Sentra SE-R #3 was built in July of 2000.  The rollcage was built by Matrix Motorsports of Tigard, Oregon.  First run by Jon Tabor and co-driver Kevin Poirier, who won the NORPAC Production class championship that year, which marked two years of Jon Tabor winning the title.

In 2001, Mark Tabor switched from his usual rally car, the Tabor Rally Team Mazda 323 GTX, to compete in the #3 Nissan.  It was a change from the usual turbo-charged, all wheel drive Mazda, but the team of Mark and former Jon Tabor co-driver, Kevin Poirier managed to overcome to learning curve to win the NORPAC Production title in 2001.
